Coconut Based Edible Products

Our manufacturing partners are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to cater to most challenging orders and timely deliveries. From sourcing raw materials to final product testing, the quality control measures at every step of the production process are handled and monitored by a team of experts.

The first step is to remove the outer shell from the careful selection of mature coconuts, revealing the fresh coconut meat, which is the key ingredient for most coconut products. Depending on the desired end product, the coconut meat undergoes various processes such as grating, slicing, or grinding. After the meat is prepared, it is typically dried to remove excess moisture, especially for a product like desiccated coconut. Coconut oil and butter are extracted from fresh coconut meat using a method known as "cold pressing." The meat is either grated and pressed directly to extract the oil or, for coconut butter, the grated coconut meat is blended into a smooth paste. The cold-press method helps to retain the coconut's natural flavors, aromas, and nutrients by avoiding excessive heat during extraction. For coconut chips, the grated or sliced coconut meat is fried in oil at a controlled temperature to achieve a crispy texture.

Throughout the entire processing method, strict quality control measures are implemented to maintain the integrity and freshness of the coconut and ensure the highest standards are met.

Coconut Based Non-Edible Products

Cocopeat and coco chips are derived from the outer husk of mature coconuts which is removed by using mechanical methods to separate it from the nut. The husk is processed to separate cocopeat and coco chips by using machines that shred or crush the husk. Both the cocopeat and coco chips undergo cleaning to remove any dirt, salt, or impurities. After washing, both cocopeat and coco chips are dried to reduce moisture content and ensure they are free-flowing and easy to handle. For cocopeat, drying is crucial to avoid the growth of mold and to ensure it remains lightweight and easy to transport.

Once dried, cocopeat is compressed into blocks, bricks, or pellets, which makes it easier for packaging and storage. Compression reduces its volume and allows it to retain moisture for use in soil applications. Coco chips, on the other hand, are typically larger chunks of coconut husk. After cleaning and drying, they are sorted into various grades based on size. Coco chips are usually less compressed than cocopeat, preserving their larger, chunky structure, which helps with aeration in soil.

Coco Peat Grow Bags, Coco Peat Planter Bags and Compressed Blocks are produced by compressing 100% natural cocopeat and coco chips with varying composition (of peat and chips), depending on their application.
